Daniel Collamore Heath (1843-1908), a high school principal, entered the seminary, then traveled to Europe. Upon his return he worked for Edwin Ginn. Heath and Ginn started the firm of Ginn and Heath. Heath later founded D. C. Heath and Company, part of Houghton Mifflin. D.C. Heath and Company was an American publishing company, specializing in textbooks, located at 125 Spring Street in Lexington, Massachusetts. It was absorbed in 1995 by Houghton Mifflin, Boston, Massachusetts.
